Welcome to Bristol Clamshell

The Bristol Clamshell Course is a multidisciplinary simulation-based resuscitative thoracotomy course. The course focuses on human factors and non-technical skills training, alongside teaching the practical aspects of performing a resuscitative thoracotomy in a time critical, trauma scenario. Clamshell Bristol is a Cardiac Advanced Resuscitation Education (CARE) course, sister course to Cardiac Advanced Life Support (CALS).
